Saint-Gobain patents pigments and polymer composites

Saint-Gobain Ceramics & Plastics, Inc. has received a patent for a composite material comprised of a polymer matrix; and a pigment dispersed in the polymer matrix, the pigment is comprised of an alumina hydrate particulate material and a dye, the dye is directly covalently bonded to an oxygen atom on a surface of the alumina hydrate particulate material.
