Martial Lecat and Philippe Combette, who joined Safic-Alcan in June and October 1988 respectively, will end their functions within the Safic-Alcan Executive Committee on April 1, 2022.
At the same time, Combette, current chairman of SAFIC-ALCAN, will hand over the presi-dency of the group to Yann Lissillour.
Under the leadership of Lecat and Combette, Safic-Alcan, which celebrates its 175th anni-versary this year, has become a European leader in the distribution of specialty raw mate-rials for the formulation industry.
It has undergone a transformation, which began in the 1990s with a broad diversification of its distribution markets and an internationalization of its activities, both through organ-ic and external growth, making Safic-Alcan the only independent French distributor in its market sector with international coverage.
Lecat will continue to chair the group's Supervisory Board and Combette will also remain a member of the Supervisory Board.
Lissillour joined Safic-Alcan in 2000 and has held various commercial and managerial po-sitions during his career within the group. He has been in charge of acquisitions since 2016 and was appointed COO last November.
“With my colleagues on the Executive Committee, and the presence of Martial and Philippe on the Supervisory Board, we will continue the exceptional human and entre-preneurial adventure that is Safic-Alcan. I am convinced of the robustness of our model and the unfailing commitment of our teams. Together, we will continue to be a lasting link between all our partners,” said Lissillour.
