PPG anounced the completion of a COLORFUL COMMUNITIES project that helped revitalize the Dahej Kanyashala primary school for girls in Dahej, India. The project brought together approximately 83 volunteers from PPG Asian Paints, a joint venture between PPG and Asian Paints, who spent more than 330 hours beautifying the school.
PPG provided more than $17,200 (1.4 million Indian rupees) in products and services for the project, including 119 gallons of Asian Paints products. The project created a colorful and vibrant space for the school’s 428 students. In total, 15 rooms were repainted, three of which feature colorful murals designed to help the children to learn subjects including geography and mathematics.
“We are thankful to PPG Asian Paints for its invaluable support,” said Monikaben Vijaykumar Patel, principal of the school. “This is the first time that we have worked so closely with a company in this way. We look forward to more collaboration to help with the future development of our school and our students.”
