AGC Chemicals Americas, Inc. will feature fluorinated compounds, advanced intermediates and bulk chemicals for the specialty and agrochemical industries at the 2018 Specialty & Agro Chemicals America show in booth 964.

Dr. Jie Zhang, AGC’s business manager of Fine Chemicals, will provide information and discuss the following topics:

  • Bulk manufacturing of fluorinated heterocyclics;
  • C-3 compounds (amines, alcohols, chlorides);
  • Metallocene co-catalysts (borate activators)

In addition, Dr. Zhang will deliver a presentation on fluorine chemistry for agrochemicals on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 2:20 p.m.

At AGC’s Fine Chemicals plant in Kaminaka, Fukui, Japan, the company has the production capacity to meet large demands from the agrochemical industry. The multi-purpose plant enables AGC to manufacture up to several thousand metric tons of intermediates and ingredients per year.

As a contract manufacturer, AGC helps major agrochemical companies reduce costs and accelerate their product development.

“This event gives us the chance to educate industry professionals about innovative fluorine-based products,” said Zhang. “It also provides the opportunity to discuss how our multiple production sites allow us to provide a reliable supply of advanced fluoro-intermediates and compounds to customers around the world.”
