AkzoNobel Wood Coatings will be featuring standout technologies from the ArmorLux™ range, including the ArmorLux™ LVT series, which is designed specifically for flooring. It offers a robust topcoat that enhances line stability and finish quality while reducing waste and rework. The stand will also showcase proven technologies such as the ArmorLux™ UV Surfacer which transforms standard grades to premium finish levels, and ArmorLux™ WF9810-XX, a waterborne translucent topcoat, ideal for wooden windows, doors, sidings and claddings, with over two decades of trusted performance.

Visitors can also explore the NDuraSilk™ 1k WB system, which is a convenient, waterborne alternative matching the performance of traditional 2k solventborne finishes. It helps manufacturers improved productivity, reduce processing times and with no pot life it also reduces cost and environmental impact.

The show marks the first public preview of AkzoNobel Wood Coatings’ new dual coat flexible system – an advanced 10-product series engineered for flawless results in just two coats. Designed for efficiency, versatility, and performance across applications such as cabinetry and panels, the dual coat flexible system to meet the need of high-volume and custom OEM finishing lines.

For distributors and finishers, the Chemcraft® Selva Pro range, launched last year, continues to gain traction across North America. Blending Italian coating heritage with high-performance chemistry and local manufacturing in North America, Selva Pro systems offer clear and pigmented 2k polyurethane and acrylic systems that fit easily into existing production lines. The range delivers proven durability, aesthetic quality, and efficiency – making it a smart choice for distributors seeking dependable, high-quality wood coatings that meet a range of finishing requirements.

Attendees can also gain insights into emerging design trends through AkzoNobel’s Color of the Year 2025 and curated palettes. These provide practical inspiration for designers on how trend-led color and natural wood finishes can be combined to create stylish products and striking color combinations.

The AWFS Fair also offers an opportunity to learn how AkzoNobel is helping customers deliver on sustainability goals through its ‘It all adds up’ campaign. This initiative highlights the wide-ranging actions manufacturers can take – from choosing lower-VOC coatings and reducing energy consumption, to minimizing waste and selecting renewable materials. AkzoNobel’s growing use of renewable electricity at its North American sites, including 100% renewable energy at High Point (NC) and Salem (OR), further reinforces its commitment to reducing its own carbon footprint while supporting customers in doing the same.

“Sustainability and performance go hand-in-hand,” says Sarah Skinner, Product Marketing Director, Wood Finishes. “Whether it’s launching our most efficient OEM system to date or helping customers reduce waste and VOC emissions, our goal is to drive meaningful progress across the wood finishing value chain. ‘It all adds up’ reflects our belief that every decision matters, and that through smart product choices, design leadership, and technical collaboration, we can create more sustainable outcomes together.”

AkzoNobel Wood Coatings and Chemcraft will be located at Booth 3223, AWFS Fair 2025, Las Vegas Convention Center – West Hall, July 22-25, 2025.
