Global paint and coatings giant AkzoNobel has again joined forces with renowned photographer Chris Weston to launch its 2013 international photo competition. The contest, which can be entered via the company’s award-winning A Magazine website, has just one category this year: the environment. The lucky winner will join Chris on a week-long photo safari in the stunning surroundings of Yellowstone National Park, one of the most remarkable places on Earth. “It’s a natural wonder which has to be seen to be believed,” said A Magazine editor-in-chief David Lichtneker, who accompanied one of last year’s winners on a similar Chris Weston workshop in Yellowstone. “Whoever wins this year will have an unforgettable experience, so we’re hoping that the standard of entries does justice to the quality of the prize.” The contest is free to enter and up to two images can be submitted by the deadline of October 31. All styles of photography are welcome, as long as the images stick to the theme. Entries will be judged by Chris, David and A Magazine’s design and art director, Claire Jean Engelmann. Entries can be submitted via www.akzonobel.com/amagazine, where full details on how to enter can be found, along with the competition’s terms and conditions. Entries are also being accepted via AkzoNobel’s Facebook page. The winner will be announced in November and the workshop will take place from January 12 to 19 next year.
