Arkema Coating Resins Promotes Eric Kaiser and Eric Dumain to New North American Leadership Roles

Arkema Coating Resins, a business unit of Arkema, has named Eric Kaiser as General Manager and Eric Dumain as the new Commercial Director for North America.

“Kaiser and Dumain have both filled key roles in the formation and ongoing success of the Arkema Coating Resins business,” Richard D. Jenkins, global group president for Arkema Coating Resins, explained. “Their expertise and hard work have given us the tools we need to better serve customers, develop new and better solutions and remain competitive in the modern coatings marketplace. In their new roles, they will help define the future of this business and, through their work with customers, the industry.”

As the new general manager for North America, a wholly new position within the business, Kaiser will oversee all manufacturing and commercial operations, as well as growth opportunities for Arkema Coating Resins in the region.

Dumain will assume Kaiser’s previous position as commercial director, where he will be responsible for all North American marketing and sales efforts.

“These promotions are part of a larger team restructuring designed to facilitate business growth and more personalized customer service,” Jenkins said. “We are continually looking for new ways to give our customers greater access to the knowledge, service and products needed to advance their business and the industries they serve. Kaiser and Dumain are the right people to lead those efforts.”

Kaiser has been with the team currently comprising Arkema Coating Resins since 1988, filling multiple roles with Union Carbide, Dow Chemical and Arkema. When Arkema acquired the business assets in 2010, he assumed the role of global marketing director and later transitioned to business director for the Americas. He holds a BS in Polymer Science from Penn State University.

Dumain has been with Arkema for five years, serving as the global business development manager. He has more than 20 years of experience in the coatings industry and came to Arkema after positions with Reichhold and Cook Composites and Polymers. He has a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler School of Business.
