BASF donates more than $14,000 to local charities and organizations in Chattanooga

As part of its annual donations and support for the Chattanooga area, BASF has donated a total of $14,500 to 13 community organizations this holiday season. With most of the donation distributions occurring around the holidays, BASF contributed to the following organizations: Brainerd High School Chattanooga Area Food Bank Chattanooga Fire Department Chattanooga Police Department Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department Hamilton County Humane Educational Society Hamilton County Rescue Service McKamey Animal Center National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Northside Neighborhood House Red Bank High School The Salvation Army’s Chattanooga Area Command WTCI-TV “Our team members live and work in this community, so it’s important to us to support and reinvest in Chattanooga,” said Rob Gagliano, Site Director of BASF’s Chattanooga facility. “These organizations enhance our community every day by housing our neighbors in need, helping animals find forever homes, educating our youth, protecting life and property and so much more.” BASF’s Chattanooga facilities produce a wide range of high-quality polymer dispersions with safety, sustainability and innovation as top priorities. With operations in Chattanooga and Sparta, BASF employs approximately 300 people in Tennessee and invests nearly $23 million in the state through annual payroll, purchases, taxes and charitable contributions.
