Seven-time Grammy Award winner Buddy Guy will perform at the 2018 Greenbuild Celebration, which is slated for 7-11 p.m. on Nov. 15, 2018 at the Field Museum in Chicago, the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) and Informa Exhibitions said.

“Buddy Guy is a Chicago icon, and the epitome of Southern blues; we couldn’t be more thrilled to have him join us this year at the Celebration. We’re certain his talent and charisma on stage will connect with our audience and accompany the cheerful atmosphere of the evening, said Lindsay Roberts, group director, Informa Exhibitions. “We couldn’t have found a more perfect venue, too, than the 125- year old historic LEED Silver Field Museum.”

Guy, 81, is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. He’s received a 2015 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award; 37 Blues Music Awards); the Billboard Magazine Century Award for distinguished artistic achievement; a Kennedy Center Honor; and the Presidential National Medal of Arts. Rolling Stone Magazine ranked him No. 23 in its “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time” list.

The 2018 Greenbuild International Conference and Expo is scheduled for November 14-16 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Tickets to the Greenbuild Celebration, which is sponsored by Kohler, are included in the purchase price of a four-day conference pass, three-day conference pass, Thursday day pass, or can be purchased separately by members of the sustainable building community.
