GE Advanced Materials has introduced CoatOSil Y-15790 and Y-15791 wetting agents. These fluorine-free additives offer high performance flow, leveling, spreading and wetting capabilities over a wider pH range for coatings formulators, according to the company. The new wetting agents are effective at low loading levels and have broad applicability in architectural, floor and automotive coatings. CoatOSil Y-15790 and Y-15791 can be used in polyurethane, acrylic, epoxy and polyester resin-based systems and produce exceptional performance in water-based formulations with pH levels from six to 11, surpassing the earlier generation of high performance CoatOSil wetting agents.
