Golden Artist Colors has announced and welcomed Brent Barnard as its new Paintworks Sales Director. In his role, Barnard will manage and grow existing relationships with private label, OEM and toll manufacturing customers, as well as develop lasting business relationships in new markets. His strategic thinking and problem-solving skillset will help foster the division’s sales and marketing strategy. GOLDEN Paintworks is the commercial paint and coatings division of Golden Artist Colors. Paintworks offers an innovative range of product and marketing support solutions that include custom formulation, manufacturing, packaging, and private-labeling of high quality waterborne specialty coatings and materials. Paintworks also markets the Proceed Professional Decorative Painting System. As Paintworks Sales Director, he will be instrumental in collaborating with and supporting the CFO in development of the Paintworks strategy and communicating this direction with the corporate Management team as well as staff. Barnard will be responsible for execution of this strategy, driving sustainable increased revenue and profitability for the Paintworks Division. “Brent has a proven record of facilitating long term business relationships with both customers and industry leaders,” said GOLDEN CFO, Jim Henderson. “His strong winning attitude and personality are assets that will complement and enhance Paintworks’ ability to meet the needs of our customers as we continue to provide quality, innovative products to the marketplace.” Prior to joining GOLDEN, Barnard gained experience at several leading paint and coating businesses throughout the U.S. His background includes Regional Manager at Mini Fibers, Inc., Central Region Sales Manager and Midwest Territory Manager at GE Sealants & Adhesives, and National Paint Sales Manager and Paint Channel Product Manager while at Red Devil, Inc. Barnard’s most recent role as Technical Sales Representative at Lintech International allowed him to succeed in establishing a presence in a new territory with multiple competitors in order to develop a customer base, resulting in notable new business sales. With over 20 years’ experience in the field, he is a proven leader specializing in commitment to excellence for creating successful sales and marketing programs, penetrating markets and accomplishing corporate growth initiatives. Barnard holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Eastern Illinois University. He currently resides with his family in Lake Saint Louis, MO, where his office will be based.
