Nearly 2,800 highly efficient solar modules have been installed on an area of around 12,000 square meters.

With the construction of a new solar park at its headquarters in Essenbach, Germany, MIPA SE is strengthening its focus on sustainable energy supply. A modern solar park has been built on the south-eastern side of the company premises over the past few weeks. A total of nearly 2,800 highly efficient solar modules has been installed on an area of around 12,000 square meters.
The system has, of course, been designed to make optimum use of solar radiation and achieve maximum electricity yield. A newly built transformer house ensures that the electricity produced can be fed efficiently into the company’s own grid.
Together with the existing solar systems on various building roofs, MIPA SE will be able to cover more than 50 percent of its total electricity requirements with self-generated electricity in future.
“With the new solar park, we are not only making an active contribution to climate protection, but also strengthening our independence from external energy sources,” says Markus Fritzsche, CEO of MIPA SE. “Our commitment to sustainability is based on the conviction that economic success and ecological responsibility go hand in hand.”
The investment in the solar park underscores MIPA SE’s long-term commitment to resource-efficient business practices and climate-friendly production processes. At the same time, the company is strengthening its future viability in an increasingly energy- and environmentally-conscious market environment.
By reducing its dependence on volatile electricity prices and external supply structures, MIPA SE is increasing its planning security and strengthening its competitiveness. MIPA is also focusing on innovation and responsibility for the future: further measures to increase energy efficiency and decarbonise production processes are already in the planning stage.
In addition, the company is currently examining how surplus solar power can be used even more effectively in the future – for example, by storing it for resource-intensive processes that can be planned flexibly in terms of time, or through regional energy cooperations with external customers.
