New AIA CES Seminar Offers Specification Guidance on High Performance Flooring Materials

Flowcrete Americas has announced the launch of a new AIA CES Lunch & Learn Seminar designed to guide architects, engineers and Design-Build firms involved in the construction and maintenance of pharmaceutical and medical research facilities through the floor specification process.

The seminar, which has been launched in conjunction with Flowcrete Americas’ upcoming attendance at the annual Interphex Trade Show & Conference, provides specification professionals with a framework from which to assess a wide number of factors that will affect the choice of flooring material to be used in different operational zones, including federal regulations, functional needs and installation challenges.

In particular, the seminar will address CGMP, FDA & HACCP compliance & regulatory guidelines surrounding the use of floor, wall and coving materials in pharmaceutical and medical research facilities and the benchmarks that pharmaceutical brands need to hit in order to ensure a safe, sanitary and sterile working environment.

The seminar also promises to perform a lifecycle cost analysis on a range of commonly specified flooring materials, in order to weigh up the total cost associated with the floor over its lifespan, with the view to reducing capital and maintenance expenditures over time.
