Nouryon announced the launch of Berol Nexus surfactant, at the 2024 ACI Annual Meeting and Industry Convention held in Orlando, Florida, US. The Company’s latest innovation, designed for the North American cleaning market, is a next-generation, multifunctional hydrotrope. This unique cosurfactant optimizes performance and activity, offering customers a distinct advantage in various applications. It is particularly beneficial in both household and industrial and institutional (I&I) cleaning applications. A specific focus is on low-temperature laundry, highlighting the sustainability advantages this provides.

BerolN exus surfactant represents the culmination of extensive research and development by Nouryon’s global innovation team. Available in a 70% concentrated aqueous liquid form, it has a low-color and low-viscosity profile that can easily be formulated into a variety of cleaning applications. It also addresses challenging, greasy soils in laundry and auto-dish applications, particularly useful where lower wash temperatures are trending.

In 2023, Nouryon announced the expansion of its technical service capabilities, enhancing customer collaboration and growth for the cleaning market in Europe and North America with application development centers in Deventer, the Netherlands, Stenungsund, Sweden, as well as in Bridgewater, New Jersey and Chattanooga, Tennessee, U.S.

In addition to Berol Nexus, the company recently broadened its portfolio with Berol Nexxt, a next-generation surfactant and multifunctional hydrotrope, and Dissolvine® GL Premium, the industry’s most concentrated GLDA-based chelating agent.
