Sherwin-Williams chairman and CEO Christopher Connor joined 300 Garland associates and retirees in celebrating a one billion gallon Garland plant production output.

“We salute our hardworking and talented Garland associates and our retirees for an outstanding accomplishment,” said Connor. “Topping the one billion gallon mark is a terrific achievement. Our Garland associates are one of the many teams across the country that drive and help make Sherwin-Williams America’s number one paint and coatings company.”
Garland Mayor Ronald Jones presented a proclamation celebrating Sherwin-Williams half century of service to the Garland community. Garland makes Sherwin-Williams Harmony, Duration, SuperPaint and Dutch Boy. The Garland paint plant opened in 1958 and started production at four million gallons a year. It opened with 275,000 sq. ft. and expanded to 375,000 sq. ft. The plant employs 235 associates and operates three shifts seven days a week. On average the plant produces 20 million gallons a year; 125 gallons per minute; 7,500 gallons per hour; and 180,000 gallons per day. Sherwin-Williams’ Garland paint plant facts
