Iris Coatings, the sales and marketing specialist for refinishing distribution, and five UK distributors of automotive paint and bodyshop supplies have been acquired by Euro Car Parts’ owner LKQ Euro. This acquisition represents 26 locations nationwide: JCA Coatings with nine branches in South / South West England and South Wales; Milton Keynes Paint & Equipment with five branches in South East England; Sinemaster Motor Factors with eight branches in Midlands / North England and Scotland, Bee Bee Refinishing Supplies Halstead with three branches in Eastern England and Premier Paints with one branch in Romford, Essex JCA’s managing director Richard Steer has been appointed MD of LKQ Euro Paint & Refinish reporting via Steve Horne, who heads LKQ Euro Collision Division, to Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, MD of LKQ Euro and Euro Car Parts . Sinemaster MD Mark Leeming and Justin Elliot from MKPE will both also join the LKQ Euro team as directors of Paint & Refinish. “Amongst the fastest growing businesses in their sector, these acquisitions represent an important step in our goal to continue to deliver the strongest value proposition enabling the collision repair industry, insurance companies and, of course, consumers to receive high quality products and exceptional service at competitive prices,” commented Singh. “Bee Bee, JCA, MKPE, Premier and Sinemaster all enjoy outstanding reputations for customer care and technical excellence in the bodyshop and SMART repair sectors. With the addition of paint to the LKQ Euro portfolio, we are now able to provide almost all products a repairer would require to complete any mechanical or collision repair.” “Our parent company LKQ Corporation is the world’s largest distributor of aftermarket collision repair parts and the second largest distributor of auto refinish paint in the US, so we have massive expertise in this area. Euro Car Parts has revolutionised the car maintenance and repair market by being unbeatable on price, delivery, quality and support. LKQ Euro is now about to do the same for refinish paint.” As part of the acquisition, LKQ Euro has also gained a 100% shareholding in Iris, the sales and marketing specialist for refinishing distribution.
