Vogel Paint, Inc. on Oct. 26 welcomed more than 400 guests to celebrate the completion of the first two phases of a five-year, $29.3 million expansion plan for its powder coating manufacturing operation located at the company’s headquarters in Orange City, Iowa.

Attendees heard remarks from Orange City Mayor Deb De Haan; Orange City Development President Daryl Beltman; Vogel Paint President Jeff Powell; Vogel Paint VP of Business Development Mark Vogel; and Vogel Paint Chairman and CEO Drew Vogel.

“First phase was build the building, second phase was the first portion of the equipment that we wanted to put in. Phases three and four are additional equipment expansions. Once the expansion is complete, business is really strong and we’ll be wondering what the next expansion plan is going to be,” said Jeff Powell, Vogel Paint Co. President.

The initial phases included a 91,000-square-foot addition to the current building and the first portion of equipment for the new production lines. The investment for this part of the project is valued at an estimated $19.5 million. The climate-controlled, state-of-the-art plant is completed and production has commenced, per Vogel Paint.
