Lubrizol to Exhibit Emulsions, Polymeric Dispersants at ABRAFATI

The Lubrizol Corporation will exhibit a broad variety of its advanced performance coatings solutions at the ABRAFATI 2013 International Coatings Show in Brazil next month. The trade conference will be held September 16-18 at the Transamrica Expo Center in São Paulo.

The Lubrizol display will be located in booth #62 on the main floor, where company representatives will present advanced products for the construction, wood, industrial, metal, powder, adhesive and graphic arts markets.

Product demonstrations are scheduled for several Lubrizol products including Solsperse M Series, Solsperse V350, Carboset CA-600, Carboset SA-850, Carboset AE-960, Turboset Ultra Pro and Permax 805. Each offers a range of benefits.

Solsperse M series of multimedia colorants has a broad formulation compatibility, positive contribution to overall coating quality and comprehensive global compliance, including suitability for formulating very low VOC systems. These additives enable formulators to develop colorants for metal coatings that meet or exceed OEM specifications.

Solsperse V350 is a 40% active polymeric dispersant in t-butyl acetate developed to meet the performance demands of automotive and industrial paint manufacturers. Recommended for dispersing pigments into liquid organic media, Solsperse V350 helps formulators control viscosity and enhance color quality as well as increase paint stability for easier handling and a better application.

Carboset CA-600 is a water-based, 100% acrylic, self-crosslinking emulsion that enhances the appearance and performance of most mineral-based horizontal masonry surfaces. It provides excellent blush resistance and superior weathering protection on driveways, sidewalks, decorative concrete and similar surfaces.

Carboset SA-850 is a new acrylic copolymer for masonry surfaces. This emulsion is formulated to address durability, maintenance and aesthetic concerns on old and new concrete, block, stone, brick and a variety of other masonry substrates. It provides a formidable defense against an array of wear factors while delivering outstanding color performance and application flexibility.

Carobset AE-960 is a water-based, 100% acrylic elastomeric emulsion designed for vertical masonry and roof coatings. This product meets or exceeds ASTM D-6083 requirements for liquid applied roof coatings and boasts higher tensile strengths than leading competitive resins while maintaining its flexibility.

Turboset Ultra Pro employs next-generation technology for wood sports floors and other high-end commercial and residential wood floor finishes. It is a self-crosslinking waterborne polyurethane dispersion agent that eliminates the need for a separate crosslinker while delivering performance comparable to two-component waterborne systems.

Permax 805 is the latest advancement in corrosion-combating technology. This PVDC is ideal for use in a wide range of applications such as primers, underbody, fire retardant and barrier coatings.

The ABRAFATI biennial trade event focuses on solutions for the future demands of the coating industry and plays a vital role in stimulating research and development of innovative and sustainable solutions.
