In the debate on whether the United States is experiencing a manufacturing renaissance, opinions range from those who insist that the sector is on a path toward long-term growth, to those who caution against over-exuberance and believe that the turnaround is a short-term blip. So is the U.S. manufacturing renaissance fact or fiction? Join top industry CEOs at FABTECH 2013 in Chicago for an important discussion on this issue. The “State of the Industry – Executive Outlook” panel will take place on November 18 at 12:30 p.m. as part of the suite of special events planned for the largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event in North America. FABTECH will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago on November 18-21, 2013. “Just by counting the record number of companies exhibiting at FABTECH shows you that the U.S. manufacturing sector is experiencing growth and optimism,” said show co-manager John Catalano. “But manufacturers today face many hurdles to long-term growth, specifically uncertainty on important issues such as tax reform, health care costs and energy prices. This panel offers the unique opportunity to hear from top industry CEOs who are successfully navigating these challenges.” Panelists will include Jeff Oravitz, president and CEO of MetoKote Corporation (Lima, OH), Dr. Dennis S. Bray, president and CEO of Contour Precision Group LLC (Charlotte, NC), and William J. Adler, Jr., president of Stripmatic Products, Inc. (Cleveland, OH.) An interactive Q&A with the panelists will be moderated by FABTECH keynote speaker Alan Beaulieu, president of ITR Economics™. FABTECH 2013 is expected to attract 35,000 manufacturers – a record number – to view 1,500 exhibits, including live equipment demonstrations, on more than 600,000 net square feet of floor space. The FABTECH Education Program features more than 100 targeted technical, operational, economic, and managerial sessions that feature top industry experts and explore the latest technology and advancements in the industry. FABTECH 2013 in Chicago sets the tone for the upcoming year of international programming by the FABTECH Partners. FABTECH Canada, Canada’s only exclusive fabricating, welding, metal forming and finishing event, will take place March 18-20, 2014 at the Toronto Congress Centre. On April 10-12, the inaugural FABTECH India, co-located with the India Institute of Welding’s Weld India Exhibition, will take place in New Delhi. On May 6-8, 2014, FABTECH Mexico will take place at the Centro Banamex in Mexico City.
