Axalta Coating Systems, a global manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings, is the title sponsor for this Sunday’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Pocono Raceway called the Axalta “We Paint Winners” 400. Axalta’s sponsorship reflects the company’s commitment to quality, performance and technology. These are attributes that create winners on the track and for Axalta’s customers in the coatings business. The increased visibility for Axalta, that is provided through the sponsorship, is expected to reach Axalta customers as well as thousands of dedicated NASCAR fans.
Axalta’s 23-year racing partnership with Hendrick Motorsports and four-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, Jeff Gordon is one of the longest relationships in motorsports. The name of the race signifies Axalta’s winning attitude and its commitment to help its customers not only meet but exceed their objectives.
“We’ve enjoyed so much success with racing through our long-time sponsorship of the No. 24 team,” said Nigel Budden, Axalta Vice President and head of its North America business. “The qualities that make for a winning racing team are also those that drive Axalta to perform better every day. It’s only fitting that our first race as a title sponsor of a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race be named, Axalta ‘We Paint Winners’ 400.”
Axalta’s Budden, company Chairman and CEO Charlie Shaver and other company representatives will be on hand to kick off the race and share the excitement at its home track, the “Tricky Triangle”, for Axalta’s inaugural title sponsorship race in the Keystone State.
