Rust-Oleum SpraySmart System Now Available

Rust-Oleum’s SpraySmart marking paint system is a reusable marking paint system that uses disposable, propellant-free paint pouches in a compression device. This system eliminates can disposal costs while maintaining the current processes and procedures of locators.  

“The development of the SpraySmart System was done with our marking paint customer in mind,” said Kelly Markle, product manager for Rust-Oleum Industrial Brands. “Eliminating expensive disposal costs while not requiring a change in procedure for locators was imperative. We’re confident this system will help our customers improve their productivity and maximize their profitability.”

The Rust-Oleum SpraySmart system’s reusable compression device is capable of fully emptying up to 48 paint pouches when fully charged. The device uses an electronic system to maintain spray pressure for a consistent, one-pass application in any weather conditions and is an improvement over cans, especially in windy and freezing conditions. The heavy-duty design withstands everyday wear and tear and fits into existing marking paint wands.

The SpraySmart paint pouches are custom designed to work with the device and allow for quick color changes. The pouches are made of a clear, durable nylon material that not only withstands tough handling but also includes these benefits:

The non-clogging paint tip sprays in any direction, in any weather condition and on any substrate, including dirt and sand. The fully-loaded device is lightweight and weighs the same as a full 20 ounce spray can. Plus, since the paint is propellant-free, the pouches ship without the same restrictions associated with other marking paint.
