Benjy Abbott has joined Specialty Products Inc. as Director of Education and Field Training. Abbott is a NACE Certified Level III Coatings Inspector with the NACE Nuclear Facilities Certification #7953. He was one of the first 25 individuals in the world to complete the NACE Nuclear Coatings Inspection Program. Abbott is a certified SSPC Protective Coatings Specialist (PCS) and a SSPC Certified Concrete Coatings Inspector Level II. Abbott also is an instructor for SSPC (The Society for Protective Coatings), PDA (The Polyurea Development Association), and is the current President of the PDA (Polyurea Development Association). Chas Weatherford, Vice President at Specialty Products, speaks highly of Abbott. “SPI is very pleased that Benjy will be joining our team full time. He has been our lead training class instructor and has been involved on a multitude of levels, in many large, high profile projects where SPI products have been used.
