The PPG Foundation recently donated $5,000 to the American Red Cross of Northern South Carolina to assist with disaster relief in the state following historic flooding this past October. The grant was made on behalf of PPG’s fiber glass plant in Chester.
“PPG is committed to helping our communities, especially in times of great need,” said Ken Hale, PPG manufacturing manager at the Chester facility. “We are proud of the strength and resilience shown by our state’s residents and the tremendous effort put forth by the regional American Red Cross to minimize suffering during this natural disaster.”
Said Joseph Hayes, executive director of American Red Cross of Northern South Carolina, “We thank the PPG Foundation for standing with the American Red Cross to help families in South Carolina recover and rebuild their lives following the catastrophic flooding.”
