Nilay Midilli Appointed Industry Director for Univar EMEA

Univar, a global chemical distributor and provider of value-added services, announced today the appointment of Nilay Midilli to the role of Industry Director, Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers (CASE) for Univar Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). In this role, Midilli will have responsibility for further building Univar’s network of suppliers and customers serving the CASE market in the region.

“Nilay has proven herself an excellent team leader and has the right experience and perspective to lead our CASE business in EMEA,” said Nick Powell, Vice President Univar EMEA and Asia Pacific, to whom Midilli reports. “Nilay has a strong background in the industry and I look forward to her leadership as we continue to deliver the products, services and solutions that drive performance for our customers, suppliers, and Univar.”

Midilli joined Univar in 2011 with the acquisition of Eral-Protek, where she worked for 11 years in numerous marketing, sales, and business management roles. She previously served as Country Manager with responsibility for Univar’s business in Turkey, which includes a strong focus on the CASE market. Since April 2015, Midilli has successfully managed key supplier relationships and new supplier authorizations, together with the CASE Product Management and Technical teams in her role as European Commercial Manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey.
