PPG to Exhibit Liquid, Powder Coatings for Coil and Extrusion at CONSTRUCT 2016

PPG will display DURANAR and CORAFLON coatings, speak at an industry meeting and highlight a range of printed and digital color selectors and specification tools during CONSTRUCT 2016 at the Austin Convention Center in Texas, Sept. 8-9.

PPG will present versatile Duranar liquid coatings for coil and extrusion applications in a variety of formulations, including Duranar GR coatings that are graffiti-resistant, Duranar ULTRA-COOL coatings featuring proprietary PPG infrared-reflective coating technology, and Duranar VARI-COOL coatings that add color-shifting capability to the ULTRA-COOL technology. The company also will highlight solvent-free, ultra-low-volatile organic compound (ultra-low-VOC) Duranar and Coraflon powder coatings, which provide durability and hardness in a wide range of colors, effects and gloss ranges for extruded metal building components.

With proven track records for color retention, gloss retention and resistance to chalk, fade and corrosion, Duranar and Coraflon fluoropolymer coatings have been trusted for decades by architects and building owners to protect and beautify curtain walls, storefronts and other high-end metal building components.

PPG also will demonstrate its growing library of printed and electronic design and specification tools, including the digital Architectural Metal Coatings Binder app, which contains fully updated catalogs, product brochures and data sheets for all PPG liquid and powder coatings, and the PPG Metal Coatings Online Color Selector Tool, which enables users to view digital versions of 170 colors in the PPG Architectural Liquid and Powder Coatings Color Guide and the PPG Building Products Coil Coatings Color Guide.

On Sept. 6, PPG will make a brief presentation in conjunction with CONSTRUCT 2016 at the annual meeting of the Specifications Consultants in Independent Practice (SCIP), a technical organization that helps design firms, agencies, facility managers and manufacturers acquire specifications from qualified writers.
