Axalta Coating Systems will exhibit at the 12th Annual Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament (VBBT) that will be held at Southside Marina in Virginia Beach, Virginia on August 24-27. The VBBT is a member of Virginia Beach Billfish Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to giving back to the community with a focus on youth and marine-related charities. Axalta offers a premium quality line of coatings designed to deliver the industry’s best appearance, performance, and corrosion protection specifically for the marine segment. Axalta’s booth will feature Imron® MS600™ Single Stage Polyurethane Topcoat, Imron MS100™ Polyurethane Basecoat as well as other primers and interior marine products. The durability and abrasion resistance of Axalta’s marine coatings help ensure that yachts retain their gloss and mirror-like finish longer and require less maintenance over time. The Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament attracts 75 fishing teams who compete for more than $400,000 in cash prizes that will be awarded to anglers who accumulate the greatest number of points in their search of blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, spearfish, tuna, dolphin and wahoo. There are also awards for Top Lady and Top Juniors. Festivities include a kick-off reception, charity auction seafood feasts, live band, and more. “Axalta is proud to support the Virginia Beach Billfish Tournament and their charitable efforts to support the Virginia Beach community,” said Richard Cecchini, Axalta East Region Sales Manager. “It is rewarding to be affiliated with so many organizations that are willing to give their time and energy to support this event.
