More than just a vague idea or generic buzzword, sustainability is a commitment to the future of technology, innovation and our planet’s wellbeing. As individuals, companies and entire industries continue to place greater emphasis on green-friendly business practices, products must follow suit in the way they are designed, manufactured and installed. Continuing to expand upon their involvement and dedication to sustainability, Valspar will display its leadership and innovation at the 2016 Living Product Expo.
In its second year, Living Product Expo has already established itself as a monumental influence in the building and construction industry. This event brings together directors from the world’s leading design firms, manufacturers and sustainability consultants to learn and share the latest innovations in sustainability and product design. This year’s Expo will focus on the next generation of green-friendly products, transparent business practices, toxic chemical avoidance and Biomimicry.
“It is our duty as a collective group belonging to this industry to place value on sustainability goals and develop the products of the future,” said Jeff Alexander, Vice President of Sales for Valspar. “At Valspar, we want to continue to lead the way in regards to sustainability, and we place pride in our dedication to researching green-friendly technology and producing environmentally responsible products. This is one of the reasons why we’re excited to attend the 2016 Living Product Expo and showcase our most recent innovation, Fluropon Pure.”
The first of its kind, Fluropon Pure is an architectural metal coating developed to meet the most stringent sustainability agendas and guidelines, perfectly pairing with the mission of the Living Product Expo. A Red List compliant coating comprised of reduced hazardous materials and solar-reflective pigments, Fluropon Pure makes it easier for users to meet LEED v4 and Living Building Challenge’s Declare Programs. With transparency top-of-mind, architects and suppliers alike can rest assured knowing specific Valspar coatings allow them to achieve the highest environmentally friendly classifications.
Fluropon Pure delivers the same capabilities of Valspar’s Fluropon family of coatings, including cool roof formulations. Incorporating the high performing pigments into Fluropon Pure addresses the urban heat island effect, and also helps building owners increase energy-efficiency. Additionally, the coating is trusted to protect buildings against harsh outdoor elements, including humidity and corrosion as well as dirt, stains, and chemicals.
At the Living Product Expo, September 13 - 15, in Pittsburgh, PA, Valspar will highlight its latest step in sustainability, Fluropon Pure, at booth #318. The coatings may be thin, but the innovations are huge. To learn more, and experience Pure for yourself, visit http://www.valsparcoilextrusion.com/en/news/fluroponpure/.
