BASF donated $40,000 to help benefit the Michigan Chapter of the Multiple Sclerosis Society. The contribution will be used to support research and provide local programs and support services for people affected by multiple sclerosis (MS) in Michigan.
The company also sponsors MS events throughout the state including Walk MS, a 5K walk, and MuckFest, a 5K mud-filled obstacle course. BASF team members participated in both of these events to assist in the fundraising efforts.
“BASF and our employees feel that it is essential to support ongoing research given the fact that there is no known cause or cure for MS.” said Greg Pflum, Vice President and General Manager of BASF’s Midwest Hub. “Every bit counts, whether it’s a donation to the MS Society or raising awareness.”
BASF is also a champion sponsor of the MS Michigan Dinner of Champions, to be held on October 13, which is the society’s cornerstone event to pay tribute to corporations, organizations and volunteers who help each year.
