The development area of Cetec now features a 3D printer. According to Camila Spann, head of the marketing department of Cetec, the new equipment enables the development of prototypes and new products, as well as the improvement of items already included in the company’s portfolio.
“With 3D printing, we were able to significantly reduce the cost and time required to develop, for example, a new handle for spray guns. In summary, the equipment facilitates continuous innovation,” she said. Cetec is the only Brazilian company in the segment to have this technology.
The 3D printer acquired by Cetec – Cubex model – print in up to 18 colors simultaneously and features a layer resolution range of up to 100 microns.
For the customers, Camila believes that the main benefit offered by 3D printing is the widespread access to new products. “When we reduce the development costs, the price of the final product also falls. Thus, our customers will take advantage of improved technology at a very competitive price.”
Founded in 1993 and holder of ISO 9001 quality certificate, Cetec has already supplied, from two plants located in São Paulo (SP), over 15,000 machines to more than 4,000 customers throughout South America.
