Thompson’s WaterSeal is offering homeowners even more possibilities to beautify and protect their outdoor living spaces, including decks, with the expansion of their Thompson’s WaterSeal Penetrating Timber Oil product line. This unique triple blend of penetrating oils will now be available in three opacities; clear, transparent and semi-transparent and two new colors; Cedar and Mahogany. The full collection of all-in-one, oil-based stains will be available for purchase nationwide at The Home Depot, beginning in April, and can be used on all exterior wood surfaces including hardwoods, such as teak and mahogany. To help consumers create the deck of their dreams, Thompson’s WaterSeal expanded their Penetrating Timber Oil line to offer a new element of customization: three opacities. Penetrating Timber Oil encourages users to select their favorite color option and desired level of wood grain intensity: · Clear enhances the natural color of the wood, displaying the most wood grain · Transparent adds subtle color, allowing the beauty of the wood grain and texture to show through · Semi-Transparent delivers more depth of color, showing less wood grain while hiding imperfections in the wood Color options for an additional level of customization include, Cedar, Redwood, Mahogany, Teak and Walnut. Oil-based stains and sealers provide excellent protection from the elements while offering a refined, finished look. The oils penetrate into the pores of the wood while the premium oxide pigments provide long-lasting, beautiful colors. Penetrating Timber Oil nourishes the wood from within while preventing damage caused by water and intense sunlight, ultimately extending the life of the wood as well as the user’s investment. Homeowners can feel confident they’re selecting the right product to achieve their desired look with Penetrating Timber Oil’s new and easy-to-shop packaging. The expanded label now includes a color-coded opacity meter that clearly differentiates between the three opacities. The new water beading graphic demonstrates the key benefit of using this product on exterior wood items. “At Thompson’s WaterSeal, we’re always looking to the latest trends and innovations in the home category to help inform how we can enhance our products to exceed our customers’ expectations,” said Mike Kozlowski, Director of Marketing for Thompson’s WaterSeal. “Combined with our current product offerings, the expanded Penetrating Timber Oil line offers our customers additional options to beautify and protect their outdoor spaces when bringing interior design outside, a current trend we’re seeing with homeowners.” The expanded line of Thompson’s WaterSeal Penetrating Timber Oil will be available for purchase at The Home Depot for $35-$39 per gallon. A one-gallon can of stain will cover roughly 150 – 350 square feet and can be applied using common deck staining tools. The product will be sold in Thompson’s WaterSeal’s iconic square style can, making carrying and pouring easy while the twist top ensures simple clean-up and easy storage of excess product.
