Arkema Showcases New Products for Permanent Paper Labels at 2017 Pressure Sensitive Tape Council

At the 2017 Pressure Sensitive Tape Council, May 15-19, at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Conference Center in Las Vegas (table #505), Arkema will showcase and discuss two new latex products for permanent paper label formulations.

“These new products were developed based on clear customer feedback and the need to continually advance the technology behind our products,” Keith Olesen, Field Marketing Manager explained.

Products on display will include:

  • ENCOR 9212 latex, a coater-ready product designed for slot-die and curtain coaters. This adhesive provides good adhesion and tack with outstanding converting properties.
  • ENCOR 9215 latex, a tackified acrylic adhesive formulated for high-speed slot-die and curtain coaters. It is designed for general purpose paper labels requiring excellent adhesion to corrugated cardboard.
In addition to the equipment noted above, both of these new products have been designed for use in a variety of coating equipment, and can be optimized based on a customer’s specific needs.

Additionally, Arkema representatives will be meeting with customers and others in the industry to help improve how they serve the market.

“Arkema has been an active supplier for the pressure sensitive tape market for many years,” Olesen said, “In 2017, under the banner of ‘Good Things Happen When Chemistry Gets Personal,’ we are focusing more resources and effort into exploring how we can leverage strong customer relationships. In meeting with them and others in the industry at events like this, we can develop product and marketing strategies that better benefit everyone involved.”
