BASF lifted the force majeure on PolyTHF (polytetrahydrofuran) in North America, effective immediately. In March, an event interrupted production at BASF’s tetrahydrofuran unit in Geismar, Louisiana, resulting in a force majeure on PolyTHF, effective March 22, 2017. The force majeure was expected to last through the second quarter of 2017. BASF’s PolyTHF products remain on order control until inventories fully return to acceptable levels.
