Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings is exhibiting and presenting at the Water Environment Federation’s Annual WEFTEC Conference, which takes place September 30 through October 4, 2017, in Chicago, Illinois. During the show, the company will highlight the following initiatives: • Sherwin-Williams Impact Award Winners Announcement: At Booth #7731 on October 3, the company will announce the winners of the 2017 Sherwin-Williams Impact Award program, which recognizes the most challenging water and wastewater projects of the year. The program rewards application contractors, specifiers, and owners for excellence on North American water and wastewater projects that demonstrate a long-lasting impact on the industry. • Dura-Plate 301 Series: The new Dura-Plate 301 Series of moisture-tolerant epoxy systems can be applied over damp and medium flash-rusted metal substrates without dew point restrictions, giving contractors wider application windows for protecting assets in harsh environments. The low-temperature cure formulation allows for application at just a few degrees above freezing, driving coating schedule efficiencies for both new construction and maintenance projects. • Dura-Plate 2300: Dura-Plate 2300, an epoxy-modified cementitious resurfacer, is designed for patching and filling voids and bugholes in concrete and masonry structures. It provides a hard, durable surface with excellent adhesion that minimizes the potential for pin-holing and outgassing problems typically associated with coating concrete. • Dura-Plate 6100: Dura-Plate 6100, a 100% solids high build, high physical performance, amine- cured epoxy, is capable of film builds in excess of 125 mils in a single application. Providing corrosion protection of concrete and steel, the epoxy is ideally suited for the lining and rehabilitation of sewer collection and wastewater treatment structures in municipal and industrial markets. • Expert Presentation: Bob Murphy, Project Development Manager, Water & Wastewater, Sherwin-Williams Protective & Marine Coatings, will present “Coating and Lining Selection for Aggressive Environments” on October 3 at 10:30 a.m. His presentation will address the importance of performing pre-specification condition assessments, using the right surface preparation techniques for concrete repairs, and identifying suitable materials for use in aggressive environments.
