German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund's Voetbalschool celebrated the 10th year of its sponsorship with Evonik by offering exclusive training for children – ages 7 to 13 – of company employees.
The anniversary began in Wesseling, Germany before arriving in Antwerp – one of Evonik's specialty chemicals sites.
The theme is "10 years, 10 cities" – and after events in Germany, Evonik said there are October and November training sessions in China; Singapore; the U.S.; Brazil and Argentina.
Evonik said 45 players from club Patro Hoevenen (Stabroek, Belgium), which is celebrating its 50th anniversary, joined in on the Sept. 23 festivities in Antwerp.
Each child received a kit and trained in BVB's (Ballspiel-Verein Borussia) trademark black and yellow, per Evonik.
