Axalta Coating Systems will showcase a recently launched impregnating resin from its Energy Solution business at the Coil Winding Expo (CWIEME). The event is scheduled for June 19-21 in Berlin, Germany and Axalta will be at stand A13 in Hall 3.2.
Voltaprem 5000 has been specifically developed for the insulation of medium- and high-voltage equipment, such as generators for the wind, rail and energy industries or rail traction motors and motors for general industrial applications. It is ideally suited for vacuum-pressure impregnation and its unique chemical characteristics enable users to optimize the impregnation process and utilize efficiency gains. Voltaprem 5000 is able to penetrate multiple layers of mica tapes easily, and consequently ensures the highest insulating performance and service life.
“CWIEME in Berlin is the perfect place to highlight Voltaprem 5000 and the rest of our Energy Solutions portfolio,” said Christoph Lomoschitz, global product manager for Axalta’s Energy Solutions business. “As an international leader in high-performance insulation coatings, we are always looking to stay ahead of the challenges our customers face and Voltaprem 5000 is a good example of this. Developed not only to meet the most stringent needs of our customers, but also to address regulatory requirements in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and the Americas, Voltaprem 5000 meets all applicable REACH regulatory requirements and RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) related EU Directives andoffers a perfect alternative for epoxy-anhydride resins.
Voltaprem 5000 comes as a 1-pack resin and is ready for use upon delivery. Adjustments, such as the addition of hardeners or accelerators, are not needed.
As well as Voltaprem 5000, Axalta will also be showcasing other products from its High Voltage portfolio, including; Voltaprem 5400, a low emission polyesterimide resin used for railway traction motors in high-speed trains, subways and tramways; and Voltaprem 5600, a low viscosity epoxy resin for repair shops with voltage applications up to 15kV nominal voltage.
