APV Launches Anti-Microbial Capabilities to Vynguard Line of Finishes at 2018 IFAI Expo

APV will showcase VYNGUARD performance finishes with the addition of a new anti-microbial technology at booth 1047 during the Industrial Fabrics Association International (IFAI) Expo, which takes place Oct. 16-18 in Dallas. VYNGUARD branded finishes are comprised of eight base polymer chemistries the company custom formulates for each customer application.  The featured new VYNGUARD AM anti-microbial chemistry can be incorporated into any of the lacquer or top finish technologies.

The line includes:

  • VYNGUARD Polycarbonate;
  • VYNGUARD Anti-Graffiti;
  • VYNGUARD Polycarbonate;
  • VYNGUARD with Kynar PVDF;
  • VYNGUARD Weld-Able PVDF;
  • VYNGUARD Polyurethane;
  • VYNGUARD HP Acrylic;
  • VYNGUARD Vinyl Acrylic

APV’s newly launched VYNGUARD Polycarbonate Anti-Microbial Topcoat is specifically formulated to resist film deterioration caused by gram-negative and positive bacteria on coated flexible vinyl, such as PVC and TPO, surfaces. It is ideal for extending the service life of vinyl products by protecting the fabric or substrate under harsh stain-prone environments and from developing mildew, mold and bacteria, which can cause deterioration of the paint film. It’s great haptics or hand-feel has been a popular characteristic of the coating. This aqueous lacquer has been a game changer for high-end wall coverings, mass transit seating, marine upholstery, and flexible decking.
