PPG said it reached an agreement to acquire Hodij Coatings, a performance coatings distributor in The Netherlands. PPG will close the transaction by Oct. 1, 2018. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hodij Coatings, established in 1979, distributes a portfolio of professional paint brands in the automotive aftersales, protective and industrial coatings segments. It is headquartered in Hoogeveen, the northern part of the Netherlands with a southern branch in Eersel. Reported sales in 2017 were $17.8 million.
“Hodij Coatings is a well-managed business, providing excellent customer service to a diverse portfolio of customers in the north and south of The Netherlands,” said Jérôme Zamblera, VP Automotive Refinish PPG Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“This acquisition will provide our business with even greater opportunities to approach our customer base with an integrated approach; bringing the expertise and technology of our combined businesses to the customer through a single point and strengthen our presence in this important region.”
