PPG said it will showcase its industry-leading liquidpowderelectrocoat (e-coat) and pretreatment systems, along with its full spectrum of coating services solutions, at FABTECH 2018 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Nov. 6-8.
PPG will highlight products and integrated systems used by global original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in multiple industries for corrosion resistance, asset protection and beauty. These include:

  • PPG VERSABOND zinc-phosphate liquid pretreatment systems, which extend bath life and accelerate bond formation on mixed-metal substrates by producing an ultra-fine-grained base for electrocoat, liquid and powder topcoats;
  • PPG POWERCRON ADVANTEDGE tin-free electrocoat systems, which enable OEMs to meet increasingly stringent environmental regulations while providing enhanced throw power and more uniform film builds on complex parts;
  • PPG SPECTRACRON solvent-based liquid coatings, which combine quick-dry times with a versatile range of formulations for heavy-duty equipment, transportation and general finishing applications;
  • PPG ENVIROCRON powder coatings, which are designed for applications requiring exceptional corrosion resistance, excellent chemical and mechanical strength, superior adhesion and the ability to meet demanding environmental and performance specifications.
PPG also will showcase its global coatings services business, which offers tailored coatings management solutions that specifically meet the needs of OEMs and their coated-parts suppliers. As part of its coatings services solutions, PPG offers a wide range of additional value-added services, from custom labeling and light assembly to packaging and shipping, automotive foam application and more.

FABTECH is North America’s largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event. The 2018 show is expected to attract 35,000 attendees and 1,800 exhibiting companies.
