Old Masters, a manufacturer of wood stains and clear finishes, launched Ascend Exterior Water-Based Clear Finish. Ascend Exterior can be used on wood, fiberglass, coated metal, or painted surfaces. It contains ultraviolet absorbers for advanced sun protection. Doors, door frames, and windowsills are ideal surfaces to coat, along with railings, outdoor furniture, and above waterline marine surfaces. “The innovative water-based technology used in our new Ascend Exterior Water-Based Clear Finish is designed to perform well even in the most demanding conditions,” said Robert Reints, GM of Old Masters. “Both homeowners and professionals will enjoy how easy Ascend Exterior is to use making it a simple choice to protect exterior surfaces.” Ascend Exterior is available in four sheens including matte, satin, semi-gloss, and gloss. It meets the VOC requirements of OTC, CARB, and SCAQMD and will be available nationwide.
