IMCD and DuPont Industrial Biosciences announced an expansion of their distribution partnership in Europe for biocides used in industrial preservation and homecare applications, including ROCIMA, BIOBAN and KATHON. Dow Microbial Control is now aligned under DuPont Industrial Biosciences, a business unit of Specialty Products. IMCD will distribute the company’s biocides in Europe and South Africa across the coatings, construction, home care and industrial and institutional cleaning markets. IMCD will add value to the distribution with regulatory support and microbiological laboratory support, provided by BioPreserv in Grasse, France. “IMCD’s experience and deep knowledge positions it well to provide personalized support to our customers on the ground,” said Jeroen Ingelbrecht, sales director EMEA at DuPont Industrial Biosciences. “The fact that IMCD provides formulatory, regulatory and technical expertise – including microbial challenge-tests and regular updates on topics like BPR, CLP, MIT-free and more – sets them apart in the industry and makes IMCD our partner of choice.” “DuPont Industrial Biosciences is an industry pioneer and innovator that works with customers across a range of markets to improve the performance, productivity, and sustainability of their products and processes,” added Frank Schneider, business group director, IMCD Coatings & Construction and member of the Executive Committee.
