Mixtures containing more than 0.0015 percent methylisothiazolinone (MIT) are to be subject to labeling, the REACH Committee has recently decided to lower the limit value from one percent.

BASF Colors & Effects established an in-process quality control system that enables it to optimize the use of biocides while maintaining best-in-class quality, thereby supporting customers in preparing for the upcoming changes in biocide classification.

Xfast is the only free-MIT pigment preparation range for water-based paints that comply with all common European eco-label requirements, said BASF. Luconyl NG liquid pigment preparations for water-based paints also meet the requirements.
