Polyscope appointed Maroon Group LLC as a U.S. distributor for its Xiran styrene-maleic anhydride copolymers resins and aqueous solutions.
The main characteristics of Xiran copolymers are its transparent appearance, high heat resistance, high dimensional stability, and the specific reactivity of the anhydride group.
XIRAN neat resins and aqueous solutions are especially relevant where key maleic anhydride functionalities as improved adhesion and compatibility, cross-linkability, dispersibility and improved hydrophobicity are required.
The anhydride groups provide the freedom to chemically modify the polymer to steer to optimal performance for customers’ formulation.
Typical applications are adhesives, coatings, over print varnishes, and gypsum-based construction products, as well as a key building block for pigment dispersants.
