Borchers: A Milliken Brand announces its new Borchi® Burst Defoamers, available now in the Americas. This defoaming additives line effectively eliminates macro- and micro-air bubbles in a range of resin formulations, helping customers achieve maximum performance at a great value. These defoamers are designed for all sheen levels in water-based, solvent-based, and solvent-free systems. “Borchers recognized the need for architectural defoamers that provide both excellent performance and value,” shares Laura Bittle, strategic market manager for Borchers. “Borchi Burst Defoamers provide high-performance defoaming across multiple substrates and applications and are a perfect choice during all stages of manufacturing and application.” Borchi Burst outperforms competitors in formulations utilizing acrylic, VAE, and VA resins, the company reported. Results observed included superior air release, excellent compatibility, and no loss of efficiency over time. The Borchi Burst additive line comprises five products: • Borchi Burst DFS 600: Foam control agent suitable for water-based gloss paints and wood coatings • Borchi Burst DFM 100: Foam control agent suitable for water-based flat systems • Borchi Burst DFM 200: Foam control agent suitable for water-based flat systems • Borchi Burst DFS 500: Foam control agent suitable for aqueous and non-aqueous coatings; suitable for pigment dispersions, and semigloss and high-gloss paints • Borchi Burst DF 300: Solvent- and silicone-free foam control agent suitable for pigment dispersions, semigloss and high-gloss paints, and wood coatings Borchers will be debuting this product line at the Western Coatings Symposium from Oct. 18–20 in Las Vegas, NV.
