PPG announced that it has won a Caterpillar Supplier Excellence Award 2024 from Caterpillar Inc. Caterpillar procurement leadership presented the award at its Supplier Excellence Recognition event in Grapevine, TX on Sept. 19. Invitations to the event are extended to the top 4% of CAT suppliers globally, With Caterpillar’s global presence across multiple industries, this coveted award demonstrates PPG’s excellence in meeting customer commitments. The top-performing suppliers met or exceeded rigorous requirements and achieved world-class certification levels under Caterpillar’s Supplier Excellence programming from May 2023 through June 2024. “Caterpillar’s ability to manufacture is dependent on the strength, efficiency and effectiveness of the entire supply network, end-to-end,” said Pam Heminger, SVP for the Strategic Procurement and Planning Division, speaking at the award ceremony, “Our customers build a better, more sustainable world when our strong supply network helps ensure we provide our customers the products they need at the right time, the right place and at the right cost.” “This is our first time receiving a Supplier Excellence Award, which demonstrates our unwavering commitment to the customer,” said Kevin Wozniak, PPG global accounts director, Industrial Coatings. “Caterpillar relies on PPG to provide innovative, high-quality products that exceed their standards. PPG is proud of its partnership with Caterpillar, which enables the company to supply products and services to a variety of customers all over the world.”
