Pilot Chemical announced the hire of Graeme Biggin as VP of growth and innovation, effective immediately.
Biggin is a business development and innovation leader with 28 years of experience in the oleo and specialty chemical industry. In this role, he will be responsible for leading and driving Pilot Chemical’s growth strategy and fostering a culture of growth and innovation across the company. He will report to Christian MacIver, Pilot Chemical president and COO.
“Graeme is an experienced leader who knows how to turn market trends and unmet customer needs into growth opportunities, from ideation through commercialization,” said MacIver. “Graeme’s diverse industry experience and strong key account management, new business and product development, and customer relationship management skills uniquely position him to make a meaningful impact to our customers and the Pilot team.”
Biggin most recently served as president and co-founder of Natural Sweetners, a company focused on innovative and sustainable sweetening solutions, and before that he served as president at Durabilis Sweetners, where he was responsible for all aspects of the global business.
He spent nearly seven years as business development director at Jacob Sterns & Sons, Inc., where he focused on natural and sustainable growth initiatives to position the company as a leader in specialty chemical products based on natural feedstocks.
“Pilot has always had a fantastic reputation in the surfactant industry for quality specialty surfactants and a strong, successful culture,” said Biggin. “I jumped at the offer to join the team as my recent interactions just reinforced what I knew already. I am looking forward to adding my background and experience to the team to help develop and innovate our way to growth and more success.”
Biggin will operate out of Pilot Chemical Company’s headquarters located in West Chester, OH, and its Technical and Innovation Center in Sharonville, OH.
