Teams are expected from many of BCF’s member companies to take part in BCF’s fifth charity Bike Ride, taking place on Friday, July 4, starting at BCF’s Coventry office.
This event is an opportunity to build teamwork, improve fitness, and raise funds for Myton Hospices. As leaders in compassionate end-of-life care, Myton focuses on ensuring patient well-being and involving individuals in decisions about their care. This year, the BCF has chosen to support Myton Hospices in memory of its dear colleague, Callum Plummer, who tragically lost his battle with cancer earlier this year. Plummer was cared for by Myton.
This cause is deeply personal to everyone at BCF, and with this in mind, the BCF hopes its riders will help raise more funds than ever before, in honor of Plummer’s memory and the incredible work Myton continues to do.
Three routes will be on offer to suit all abilities - 100km, 52km and 35km. All routes are well signposted and take in the scenic countryside and villages through Warwickshire.
2024's event raised more than £19,000 and the BCF hopes this year's event will be just as successful. Further information about how you will be able to raise money as a rider will be sent out once you have registered. You will also receive details of the routes and overnight accommodation details for those of you who would like to arrive the evening before the event.
Note that secure bike storage will be available at the BCF office the night before the ride. Each registered rider will also receive a BCF-branded jersey in their chosen size.
Book by April 17 to secure your jersey.
To secure your place on the ride, visit https://coatings.org.uk/page/RideWarwickshire2025 to register now.
If you want to be part of the event but are not keen to ride, there are also volunteer opportunities available; please contract Belle Lake, senior membership coordinator, at
Belle.Lake@bcf.co.uk to let the BCF know if you would be interested in volunteering.
The BCF would also like to thank its generous sponsors, INX International, Dacrylate Paints and Tronox Pigments, for their support. There are still five sponsorship slots available.
