BASF is inviting Ph.D. students and academic postdoctoral researchers to apply for the BASF North American Research Forum.
The Forum offers a unique opportunity for young scientists to gain insight into industry and apply their chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, biosciences, material science or polymer science postgraduate academic experience in research and development, technology, marketing and/or production.
The Research Forum will be held at BASF’s site in Wyandotte, Michigan from Monday, July 7, 2025, through Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
Students selected from research centers and universities will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers from other schools alongside BASF scientific experts and leaders. Participants will gain experience through presentations, discussions, lab tours, and a sustainability challenge. There will also be dedicated time for informal meetings and networking sessions.
“The Research Forum is essential in fostering engagement with the scientific leaders of our future,” said Benjamin Knudsen, BASF Vice President of Research North America. “We gain insights into what sparks their creativity and how they navigate real-world challenges requiring digital tools, artificial intelligence and sustainable solutions. Our scientists at BASF are currently facing these challenges, and the Research Forum provides an opportunity to demonstrate to our participating researchers the impact of pursuing a research career at BASF where they can make a difference by creating chemistry for a sustainable future.”
Students and postdoctoral researchers who are interested in participating can now view requirements and submit applications by Friday, May 2, 2025 at the following link: BASF 2025 North American Research Forum
