On May 23, 2025, Teknos published its non-financial report for 2024. By publishing non-financial information, Teknos strives to provide transparency into the progress of our sustainability efforts and the impact we create.

The non-financial report provides an opportunity for the entire organization to come together and share its progress and the commitments it has made and where Teknos still needs to improve.

“We are driven by our purpose – We make the world last longer – and understand it impacts everything we do”, says Paula Salastie, CEO.

Concrete Actions to Build a Sustainable Company

In 2024, Teknos advanced its sustainability efforts by improving energy efficiency at several sites—optimizing ventilation systems, upgrading to LED lighting, and installing motion sensors. The company also enhanced wastewater treatment at its Vamdrup facility.

As the only paint and coatings company in the Nordic Circular Design Programme, Teknos is leading industry dialogue on circular economy principles. Its focus includes using biobased and secondary raw materials, designing products for reuse, and improving the sustainability of packaging, with continued efforts planned for 2025 in line with the CLP legislation.

In 2024, Teknos strengthened its people development efforts through global leadership events and targeted training focused on clarity, psychological safety, and change communication—reaching 94% of leaders. A company-wide Employee Engagement Survey provided key insights for enhancing communication, performance, and collaboration.

Looking to the Future

In 2025, Teknos will advance its efforts to support the Paris Agreement and align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on challenges related to scarcity, security, and climate change through four key areas: Future Generations, Sustainable Solutions, Responsible Operations and Supply Chain, and People and Culture.
