PPG recently completed the 30th annual PPG Trilak Master Painters’ Event in Hungary, with 700 professional painters from across the country in attendance. This year’s event provided participants with the opportunity to engage interactively with the latest PPG products and innovations.

“PPG is committed to supporting the local community of painters and adapting to the evolving landscape of the industry,” said István Miavecz, PPG general manager, Central and Southern Europe, Architectural Coatings. “The event exemplified PPG’s commitment to being our customers’ top partner in meeting evolving needs for innovative paints, coatings, and specialty producrts. It brings together all generations – from enthusiastic newcomers to senior industry leaders – to learn about the latest trends in coatings.”

A key highlight of this year’s event was the official launch of PPG’s loyalty program in Hungary, marking a significant step forward in enhancing customer engagement and fostering long-term loyalty. Each participant received a gift package featuring five liters of HÉRA™ Supermatt paint by PPG, the hero product launched in 2024, along with an exclusive preview of TRINÁT™ Special RozsdaSTOP paint by PPG, which made its debut at the event.

“In response to current market trends, PPG recognizes the shifting priorities in home renovation, with an increasing number of consumers opting for DIY projects over professional services,” Miavecz said. “PPG’s leading products in this segment, including Héra Gold interior wall paint and Héra interior wall paint, continue to effectively meet the evolving needs of consumers navigating these changes.”

In addition to the event, PPG has been investing in the development of its sales team through the PPG Academy, which was launched in Hungary last year. The initiative has significantly enhanced the team’s expertise and ability to serve customers effectively. PPG now plans to extend the PPG Academy program to its 85 VIP partners.

PPG has been involved in workforce development since 2011 through the Trilak Paint Academy in Budapest for Hungarian professionals, vocational schools and other training institutions. The academy’s goal is to provide practical further training, deepen product knowledge and teach the most modern materials and techniques. To date, 800 painters have graduated from the program and a further 400 students have been trained.
