Sikkens Wood Finishes Transitions to Sikkens ProLuxe Brand

A brand with more than 200 years of heritage and quality, SIKKENS wood finishes, is changing its name. A premium exterior wood finishes brand for decks, logs and siding, doors, windows and interior finishes, the Sikkens brand is becoming the Sikkens ProLuxe brand. Designed to provide unrivaled looks, durability and performance on all types of interior and exterior wood, the product formulation will not change.

“While the label will reflect a new name, the product inside the can – which professionals and homeowners know and respect – will remain the same high quality,” said Alison Bruce, Sikkens ProLuxe brand manager, PPG Architectural Coatings. “Generations of professionals and homeowners have relied on the Sikkens ProLuxe brand to protect and enhance the natural beauty of the wood, and only Sikkens ProLuxe wood finishes showcase wood’s vibrant perfection with a flawless finish.”

Beginning in early March, the newly labeled product will be available at approximately 700 major home centers and more than 1,200 independent dealer locations across the United States and Canada.

“Available to independent retailer and home centers, the Sikkens ProLuxe brand has the marketing, distribution and sales support needed to support our retailer partners and end users,” Bruce said. “We’re introducing a new look for premium woodcare.”

The ProLuxe brand is a line of PPG Industries’ architectural coatings business. The Sikkens ProLuxe premium woodcare brand offers products for deck, log and siding, door and window, and interior finishes. For more than 200 years, professional contractors have trusted the high-quality products, which offer both beauty and protection, even in the harshest of environments.
